OUR 2021 NEWSMATCH CAMPAIGN

The Crime Report, published by the Center on Media, Crime and Justice at John Jay College, is honored to participate in the 2021 NewsMatch campaignthe largest grassroots effort to support nonprofit news in the United States. Thanks to the campaign, every dollar you contribute between Nov. 1 and Dec 31, 2021 will be matched by a consortium of 17 major philanthropic donors committed to strengthening independent media. Now in its 6th year, the campaign has helped raise $150 million for outlets like ours.  

It has been a critical source of sustenance for The Crime Report, the nation's premier online marketplace for ideas, research and news across every field of criminal justice. Last year, the $15,000 we raised in individual contributions from readers like yourself and from matching funds, along with donations from larger donors, helped us continue to provide—and expand—the services and resources we provide every day to thousands of professionals, academics, students and journalists In the justice community
